Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been an American actor in film television and stage since the late 1970s. Gifted thespian, she is actively involved in professional theatre for the past 27 years. Her first performance on stage was in 1990 when she appeared in an off-Broadway adaptation of The Big Funk directed by John Patrick Shanley. Then, in The Perfect Tribute, she played her first role in a TV show a year after. Her breakthrough in her professional career happened in 1992 when she starred as a minor role in the film the film Basic Instinct. It was in the movie The Firm however that she was chosen as the female lead for the first time. She was cast in the film alongside actors like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 90s, she worked alongside some of the most renowned names in the field, such as Gwyneth Paltrow on Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews in Relative Values. In the international hit crime procedural Crime Minds the character the character of Dr. Alex Blake was recently performed by her.

Lexis studied at home for all of high school. She was accepted into Louisiana State University by September 2012. The grade Lexis earned at the school is not yet available. Lexis was born into a household of golfers, that means she had no experience in this male-dominated sport. At the young age of 12 she became the youngest qualifier to compete in the US Women's Open. The event did not go to event, but she was able to win the Aldila Junior Classic in the same year to become the second. Along with being one of the most youthful American Junior Golf Association, (AJGA) winner of the award that year, she was also the youngest participant to win Westfield Junior PGA Championship.
