Dennings was in a relationship to Nick Zano - her "2 Broke Girls" co-star ran from 2011 to 2014. After their breakup Dennings started dating musician Josh Groban. Together they remained until 2016. Dennings as well as Andrew W.K. met in the early part of 2021. After a short time, the two began to date and in the month of May, 2020 they announced their engagement. Dennings, a musician fan since 2014, was Dennings's first-love. Dennings was Jewish however she has stated that religion isn't a part of her daily day life. Some of interests include painting, reading, and gardening. When she was a child the initial plan she had to attend art school was foiled when a flood destroyed all of her art work.
