Dennings' relationship to Nick Zano - her "2 Broke Girls", co star, lasted from 2011 through the year 2014. She began dating Josh Groban after their breakup. The pair remained in love to 2016. Dennings met the musician Andrew W.K. at the start of 2021. After a short time after which they started to meet and by the end of the month of May, 2020 they the couple announced their engagement. Dennings is an avid follower of this musician. She has followed him since 2014. Dennings has admitted that, while she was Jewish and became part of the Jewish community at a personal and ethnic level, religion does not form a large element of her activities.
